Summer 2, Week 6
We are rapidly approaching the end of term and have been very busy in Nursery.
Firstly, we have to congratulate all Nursery children for their wonderful graduation last week. It was wonderful to look back on our year together and see how much everyone has progressed.
This week we have been busy practising for our sports day - we are very excited to share this special day with our grown ups next week!
We have also been learning about how to stay healthy and know that exercise, healthy eating, burshing our teeth and sleeping well will help us to be healthy.
Have a great weekend.

We have had fun looking at skeletons this week and exploring the human body. We even had a go at writing our own captions - we were fantastic at recognising the initial sounds.
In maths, we have been using a part whole model to add. We know that the whole is bigger than the part.
We have also enjoyed using clay this week to make bones. We looked at examples and then sculpted the clay.
Well done for all of your hard work this week, Nursery!

In English, we have been focusing on rhyming words. We know that rhyming words sound similar! We enjoyed reading Oi Frog! and spotting the many rhyming words used in the story.
In RE, we have been exploring friendships and what it means to be a good friend. The children have continued to demonstrate how they are good friends by following our school footsteps.
Have a lovely weekend.

Summer 1, Week 4
This week in Nursery we have been very busy creating a piece of collaborative artwork with Reception. The artwork is for the Bishop Bewick Catholic Trust and it is around the theme 'Stronger Together'.
After learning a little bit about our trust, we started to think about what strength meant to us. We had lots of fantastic ideas including, lifting heavy things, lions and working as a team!
We then started on our artwork which involved lots of paint mixing and messy hands! We can't wait to show you the finished piece which will be displayed at the Discovery Museum in June. Keep your eyes peeled on Twitter for a sneak peak!
